Operator Bringing 6 Del Taco Locations to Alabama

Alabama multi-unit franchisee Sam Abusaleem has just teamed up with Del Taco to bring 6 of the Mexican QSR locations to the northern part of his state. The first is scheduled to open in Huntsville.

“My goal has been to bring a fresh, high quality, casual concept to the residents of Northern Alabama and Del Taco is just that,” says Abusaleem. “I’ve been in the retail and restaurant industry for more than 30 years and am looking forward to growing my portfolio with such a well-respected brand that believes in the same dedication to its guests and employees as I do.”

Abusaleem has owned and operated a number of concepts in the retail, real estate, and restaurant industry and has a history of success with the brand’s he’s worked in. His children grew up working in the business where they learned the ropes and are now partners. The family also operates Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers locations in the Madison and Decatur markets.
