SYNERGY HomeCare Continues Its Recent Expansion in the Los Angeles Metropolitan Area
November 19, 2025 // Franchising.com // Tempe, Ariz. – SYNERGY® HomeCare has announced its newest location in the Los Angeles metropolitan area, SYNERGY HomeCare in Garden Grove.
The company is owned and operated by Fadi Alawi, a first-generation immigrant who came to America at 17 years old and joined the U.S. Army only one year later. Alawi spent his post-military career working in business development and customer service, where he picked up valuable skills that he now plans to put to use in the caregiving industry.
Alawi and his team of compassionate caregivers will assist residents throughout Garden Grove, Midway City, and Westminster with a wide variety of non-medical, in-home care services, from companion care to personal care and respite care.
Alawi has spent the past 20 years analyzing Southern California market trends and growing consumer demands, which is how he discovered the increasing desire for more care providers in the LA metropolitan area, particularly among Baby Boomers. U.S. Census statistics show that 10,000 Baby Boomers are turning 65 every day and that by 2030, there will be more than 70 million people over 65. According to the AARP, over 80% of this demographic reports wanting to remain in their own homes for as long as possible.
Alawi’s commitment to his community and his country dates back to his very first days in the U.S., when he almost immediately enlisted in the Army upon arriving in America. In addition to his unwavering commitment, Alawi’s work ethic is supported by years of education and professional experience, which have further enhanced his ability to help those in need. He has both a Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Management, and Marketing from Cal State Fullerton and an MBA from the University of Phoenix. He has since put those degrees to use, accumulating over 20 years of experience in managerial roles in business-to-business development.
After succeeding in his previous job for the past 20 years, Alawi’s attention shifted towards caregiving due to his experience providing care for his mother. His mother lived with diabetes that required hands-on assistance, which was difficult for Alawi to manage on top of his full-time job. This opened his eyes to the value of caregivers.
“I’ve always had a strong belief that it’s my duty to serve my community and my country,” said Alawi. “Everything I’ve done in both my personal and professional life has been guided by that philosophy. I joined the U.S. Army to do my part, and I obtained degrees that I believed would allow me to better assist those in need of services. Now, I believe it’s time to join the caregiving industry, where I can make an even more direct impact on those people’s lives.”
Southern California has a significant, growing aging population. Many of the area’s residents often need to rely on caregivers for additional assistance cooking, shopping, running errands, doing light housekeeping or going for walks. Some even require personal care, such as help with bathing, dressing or using the toilet.
“I understand the importance of having access to a reliable, excellent service provider nearby,” said Alawi. “Convenience truly is key when it comes to aging gracefully. Many older loved ones want to remain home for as long as possible, and that means it’s up to us to get them the services they need. I strive to do everything in my power to provide that care and advocate for the growing demand in personalized, in-home services.”
